About Musubi 😊

Musubi is a full stack web application built using React.js, Next.js and Firebase. It is a social networking & blogging application that allows users to create posts, share posts, and engage with other users. These actions lead to the eventual creation of new emotional bonds, social connections, and friendships.

The idea behind Musubi (結び) came from its origins as an ancient concept in Japanese Shinto religion, which means "the power of creation" [1-4]. It also has another meaning which is "connecting people together" or "connection" [4-7].

With the click of a button, you have the ability to create a blog post or picture post, that can transcend beyond borders and potentially spread to people from all around the globe. You will also be able to see posts from other users, and from there, you can engage with them, get a sense of their ideas, and relate to their stories. As a result of this interaction, you will be able to create new emotional bonds and connections with them.

At Musubi, we believe that it is important to share valuable ideas/stories/experiences with the world, especially so in this digital era. If you are looking for an easy-to-use social blogging app to share your thoughts, sign up and join Musubi today :)!

On a side note, Musubi also has a third meaning in Japanese, which means "rice balls" [5-6, 8]. Hence, due to the multiple meanings behind the word Musubi (結び), I have also decided to incorporate a rice ball icon as the app's official logo 🍙. This ensures that all these meanings of Musubi are integrated into the app :).
